Carers trained by Nurse Director

Professionally trained Residential Carers

We are very proud of our residential Carers; many of them have been with The Retreat Care Home since the start. Our continuous training policy ensures that we deliver the highest quality of care possible. Our team is always up to date on the latest health and safety issues such as lifting and food hygiene. We have a strong consistent base of female and male carers that come from a variety of backgrounds. All have good English-speaking skills.

We train our residential Care Staff in basic clinical skills that has improved our health and social care provision for older people.  This improves our resident’s quality of life by enhancing their well-being and by making them more comfortable.

Older people and their relatives want the stability of a ‘home-for-life’.  So when we successfully manage any increase in complex care needs, this offers them more security. The health-orientated training of our residential Carers produces increased confidence and professionalism.  There are strong relationships with visiting community nurses and GP’s.

Care Quality Assurance

We will not assign residential Carers to clients before they have passed our careful recruitment and vetting process and the professionally-recognised Skills for Care Induction.

We offer good value for money!
