Dear Susan and Paul,
Just a note to let you know how much Sally and I appreciated all
that you did for my father during the whole time that he stayed
with you.
Harold had the best possible last year of his life with you at "The
Retreat". You were kind and thoughtful to an old man who had
not learned to expect too much from either of those attributes,
and I know his occasional tears in your house were tears of gratitute
at your loving care.
I can't say how much I admire what the two of you do from day to
day. You have such courage and you do so much good work.
Harold is looking back on you now with gratitude that I know is
very profound.
Love to you both, Colin.

To Sue and Paul,
I would like to express my gratitude and thanks for your care and unstinting attention you, your family and staff have always given me.
Love from Hilda.

I am writing on behalf of the residents to say what a lovely day we had yesterday. We enjoyed a super Barbeque, with the weather and food. We collected £175.00 for the American Disaster Fund. All the staff were of the greatest help, and everyone looks forward to the next day in a year's time.

Dear Sue and Paul
It is with regret that we have to inform you that Alan now needs nursing care.
We thank you for your help, support and kindness to Alan and ourselves.
We are sorry that he has to leave your care; you and your staff were wonderful.
Thank you for everything, Dennis & Kay
To Sue and Staff of "THE RETREAT RESIDENTIAL HOME"
Dear All,
Thank you so very much for all the kindness and care you gave Margaret (Foster) during her stay with you. I am sure that she felt more secure and peaceful in the love you gave her during her last years.
We do not know how to repay such kindness but hope the enclosed may be a useful contribution towards your Christmas or New Year lunch together, or whatever may please you, and a token of our sincere appreciation for your wonderful care.
Many, many thanks
Lillian, Andy, Stephen & David (Margaret's sister and family)
& with all best wishes to everyone in the continued care and priceless gifts you give.
