Becoming a Resident at The Retreat

Becoming a resident...

So that you can join us at The Retreat, you’ll need a full and thorough assessment by one of our trained Assessors. This ensures that we provide the correct level of care that you need.

A member of our staff will visit you at home or in hospital to discuss possibilities with you. We’ll consult with your family and your doctor (and possibly with Social Services) to make sure we have all the relevant information about you and your care.

We also consider emergency admissions under certain circumstances.

Your own Personal Care Plan

The next stage is for us to sit down with you to talk through your care needs. It will help us make your stay at The Retreat as happy and rewarding as possible for you. We’ll listen to you carefully, and as soon as we’re all in agreement, we’ll create your own Personal Care Plan, tailored to your own individual needs.

You can be reassured that your Care Plan will be continually monitored and updated – your needs will inevitably change over time, and it’s vital that we keep abreast of these changes so that you remain as happy and contented as possible.

Your first days with us

When you arrive at The Retreat you can be assured of a very warm welcome from us all, staff and residents alike. We’re friendly and easy-going, and we’re sure you’ll soon feel thoroughly at home with us.

Our helpful staff will give you a hand to unpack and settle in. Remember – your room is your very own, and we’ll work with you to give it your personal touch.

The Retreat will soon feel just like a home from home!
